MARUTI IS PLANNING TO REOPEN ITS PLANT ON AUGUST 21

Maruti is all set to reopen its manesar plant after a month long lock-out . The plant was locked on July 21 , following large-scale violence by workmen on July 18 .It is opening up this plant with enhanced security.

The month-long lock-out has cost Maruti dearly – it has recorded accumulated losses of around Rs 2,700 crore due to non-production of its quota of 1,600-1,700 cars per day. The Manesar plant manufactures the popular Dzire and Swift models, as well as the A-star and SX4.

This will reduce the waiting period of maruti swift and dzire models.

Hero Revamped!!!

Hero motor corp is all set to launch a new bike under its brand name hero after its split with honda.The bike is named impulse and its an sexy dual purpose on-road-off-road bike .It is expected to compete with the likes of bajaj duke,yamaha fz.

The bike comes with an 150cc engine which developes an power of 14bhp at 13.6 nm(torque).It also comes with an nitrox-gas filled monoshock rear suspension to support its offroad performance.

Initially it will be available in five colours -black,vibrant metallic blue,sports red,vibrant orange and leaf green.

The bike will be priced around Rs 75000.It is expected to hit the market at the end of this year............
